Off-Topic: Continued - Terms of use
Overview
By viewing, submitting content to, creating an account on or otherwise using this site you agree to be bound by the following terms.
Whilst the administrators and moderators (hereinafter "operators") will make every effort to remove damaging, potentially illegal, objectionable or otherwise disallowed content, this cannot be guaranteed and neither the operators nor owners of this site will accept any liability for any damaging circumstance, including libel or slander, that may arise as a result of viewing or submitted content on or to this website. Please report any disallowed material, as described below, to the operators by clicking the exclamation mark icon, or, if the content is a private message, by forwarding it to one.
You acknowledge and understand that the operators do not have any obligation to monitor the content posted on this site and that you, and not the operators, are responsible for posts you submit to the site and any posts submitted by other users or externally linked content that you download. All content submitted to this site is owned by the user whom submits it and the user accepts all legal liability, including that of civil or criminal damages, for the publication and dissemination or the content under their local and United Kingdom law. By posting content you grant a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license for it to be used for any purpose by the operators for as long as you elect to display the content, or, if the content is not owned by the user, affirm that you hold permission of the copyright holder to distribute the content.
You agree to comply with all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the United Kingdom or the country in which you reside (if different) and with all local laws and rules regarding acceptable use of and conduct on the Internet.
You may not use this website to transmit, distribute or otherwise promote any material or content, including providing external links to such material, which the operators deem unsuitable, either according to the unsuitability guidelines as set out in the Forum Rules listed in the second part of this document, by their own volition or due to such material contravening the laws of the United Kingdom. Any content submitted and accounts may be closed, restricted, terminated, locked, removed, edited or otherwise modified in any way at any time for any or no reason seen fit by the operators. The closure, or "banning", of an account renders the account holder unwelcome on this site for the duration of the account's inaccessibility. Such bans may be reviewed should the account holder contact a site operator. The circumvention by any means of such a closure will result in all accounts associated with the user being permanently closed, and in extreme cases may be considered a criminal offence, for instance, for the United Kingdom, under section 1 of the Computer Misuse Act 1990, by the owners of this site. In addition, the abuse of programming errors, goodwill of the operators or intended functionality for abusive, damaging or criminal purposes or to breach this agreement shall result in action taken against your account, and in extreme cases criminal liability. This includes but is not limited to "flooding", "spamming" and anything else which may result in the disruption of service for other users.
You are responsible for the security of your account and may not allow any other individual to access it.
This website may contain material some may find objectionable or undesirable, including but not limited to adult, profane and obscene material, insults that could potentially be considered libelous or slanderous and material that may be illegal to view or possess in your locale or the United Kingdom. In the latter case, please report it immediately to a site operator. As described above, the operators do not have any obligation to monitor such material, except for that required by law. This monitoring is only possible if such material is reported to us. If it is not, we do not accept any liability for the repercussions.
The Website/Services may include links to third party websites that are controlled and maintained by others. Any link to other websites is not an endorsement of such websites and you acknowledge and agree that Off-Topic: Continued is not responsible for the content or availability of any such sites.
Data is held in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998, and any and all statutory rights apply. You agree that any information, including personal data (as defined in the Act) you have entered will be stored in a database. Whilst personal data shall not be disclosed to any third party without your consent and we shall take reasonable precautions to ensure the security of such data, neither the operators, owners nor any others involved in the running of this site shall be held responsible for the compromisation of this data or any damages that ensue. However, data which is not defined as "personal data", including but not limited to, the status of your account, communications with operators and account notes may be divulged by us. In addition, any data stored may be passed on to law enforcement agencies either as a result of a legitimate request or voluntarily by us for the purposes of preventing crime or ensuring the safety of a user. All information we hold about you can be accessed and edited in your user control panel.
You agree, by transmitting, receiving or, in the case of an ISP, forwarding the data, that data transmitted to and from this website may not be "sniffed" or otherwise intercepted/inspected (e.g. deep packet inspection) and may not be manipulated. In particular, no intercepted content or data may be used for the purposes of targeted advertising.
By accessing or otherwise using this website you affirm you are of the age of majority in your locale or you have parental permission to do so. It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the viewing or submission of content on this website is permitted. By viewing any content submitted labeled as pornographic, "NSFW" or "Not Safe For Work" as described below, you affirm that you are of the age of at least 18 years or the age required to view adult content in your locale.

To the extent permitted by law, Off-Topic: Continued will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever (including without limitation loss of business, opportunity, data, profits, personal injury or death) arising out of or in connection with the use of the Website/Services or the negligence of Off-Topic: Continued or that or its employees or agents.
Off-Topic: Continued makes no warranty that the Website/Services will meet your requirements, that the Content will be accurate or reliable, that the functionality of the Website/Services will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected or that the Website/Services or the server that makes them available are free of viruses, malware or anything else that may be harmful or destructive.
We may place cookies on your computer in order to track your session on the website (for example, to record your login status). Furthermore, third-parties may also store and read other cookies for advertising purposes.
If any of these Terms and Conditions should be determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction then such Term or Condition shall be severed and the remaining Terms and Conditions shall survive and remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
These terms may be updated or revised at the discretion of the operators with or without prior notification.
The rules
Don't be an arsehole
This rule should pretty much cover most things. That's not to say don't post anything remotely objectionable, just don't really start taking the piss out of other members. Essentially, just try to be nice. Don't flame people for no particular reason, etc.
No shock sites or disgusting content
This applies to, but is not limited to, bestiality, necrophilia, violence, scat, gore and especially child pornography. Posting child pornography will get you an instant ban and your details forwarded to appropriate law enforcement agencies.
Adult content
Do not post this. If sent in a private message, attempt to ensure the recipient is permitted to view such content in their locale and tag the message subject line with "NSFW:".
No illegal content
If it's potentially dodgy, just don't post it. As above, violations of this rule may result in notification of law enforcement.
Spamming
Posting crap over and over again. Don't do it. Put any large images in spoilers, or just link to them. This applies to signatures too.
Titles
Custom titles may not be used to claim you are an operator of this website, for example, titles such as "Administrator" or "Moderator".
Harassment
See rule one. This includes the private messaging system. Put simply, a bit of pisstaking is alright, but there are obviously limits.
Language
English only, please.
Respect moderator decisions
If you have a problem with it, PM one. Don't repost deleted content and don't revert edits. In addition, circumvention of a forum ban will result in both accounts being permanently closed.
